Seek First God's Timing

A man frustrated with his life fell asleep while praying and had a dream. In the dream, he pictured himself conversing with God about getting money. Trying to outwit God, he asked, "Lord, how long is a million years for you?" God said, "A million years is like a second." Then the man asked, "Well, then, how much is a million dollars to you?" God said, "A million dollars is like a penny." The man smiled and said, "Could you spare me a penny?" God smiled back and said, "Sure, just wait a second!"
Like the man in the story, you might find yourself in a similar conversation with God. Perhaps life isn't unfolding as you had hoped, and you are encountering setbacks and disappointments. In those moments of deep despair, you might wonder why God doesn't immediately provide the solutions or miracles you're praying for. But before you give up on your dreams and passions, remember that God's clock operates on a different rhythm than ours! So, instead of expecting instant results, we must learn to seek His timing and trust His perfect plan.

Second Peter 3:8 declares, "A day with the Lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day."
Ecclesiastes 3:1 states, "For everything, there is a season and a time for every matter under heaven."
Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!"
Verses like these gently remind us to pause and seek God's timing. By doing so, we will understand that God has a flawless plan and timing for each of us. He has also advised us to wait for His perfect timing patiently. While waiting, it's crucial to remember that God is always at work, even when we can't see it. This patience and trust in God's plan are not easy, but it is the key to finding peace and strength amid life's challenges.
